Winter Games volunteers – now is your time!

A message from the organisers –

We’d love your help volunteering this year with Winter Games NZ. Please fill in an application form here and create a username or if you already have a Better Impact login for other organisations (eg Volunteering Central/ Challenge Wanaka/ Warbirds) you can use the same username and password and it will give you access. If you have forgotten it, there is a link to reset both on the page or click here. We suggest using an email address as the username to keep it simple. You only need to fill in the boxes that have a little flag  (don’t worry about all the other fields, there are lots there). Please make sure you enter just one email address and your mobile number .If you know the role you want, please make sure you write it in your online profile, you will be able to select it yourself. The more details you give us the easier it s to help you find a great role that suits you.

Once you have filled in the application form you will be able to log back into your profile here https://app.betterimpact.com/Login using your username and password (there is a link on that page to reset both if you’ve forgotten) and go to the SCHEDULES tab to confirm or decline your role and have a look at the OPPORTUNITIES tab for other options for the days you’re interested in, or just email me if you can’t find anything.

Volunteer Health & Safety Briefings- Requirement

Wanaka – Monday 19 August 6 – 7.30pm, , Gin & Raspberry Bar, Wanaka. This is for volunteer sat Snow Farm and Cardrona but if you’re helping in other areas you are welcome to come along also.T his is a chance for you to meet other volunteers helping in the same locations and to meet the on-hill venue managers, department heads and volunteer managers. We will be running site specific Health & Safety briefings for each mountain and you’ll have the chance you ask specific questions about your roles. 

All volunteers will receive a Mons Royale gift on their first shift on mountain. Each day you are helping you’ll be given a lunch and a ski pass if your role requires it. Please make sure you have your own ski equipment if your role requires it. There is free return transport organised from Wanaka centre up to Cardrona and Snow Farm but not to Coronet Peak.
