Last night the Cavalcade committee held their thank you evening for all people involved in volunteering for them.
Since we had a small contingent of SIC students go along to help outlaw e were invited to go and accept a cheque and their thanks. However, it was decided to donate our cheque to the Hawea Youth Club as students had been volunteering with the Hawea Youth Club at the Cavalcade.
Volunteer Ruth Bennie said, “Thanks for opportunity to volunteer at the Cavalcade. It was nice to get to know more people in the community and to interact with other age groups at such a great event. We’re really happy to be giving our rewards to Hawea Youth Club as they make such fantastic opportunities for young people in the area.”
