Good Morning Wanaka Area Schools & Childcare Centres!

You may have already received a message from the Cancer Society about getting involved with Daffodil Day 2019 – I would like to encourage you to get on board now with this important national fundraiser and have some fun!
Attached is the flyer with information on registering your school/centre, details about the awesome prizes up for grabs and also some ideas on what you could do. The possibilities are endless – get creative, make it fun and engage the children! Daffodil Day is officially Friday 30th August, however you can organise something for any date that suits in August. I believe this is a wonderful opportunity to involve our children in fundraising and awareness for a cause that has touched so many of our lives.
Please see this link on the Daffodil Day website for some fantastic resources and ideas: https://www.daffodilday.org.nz/#getinvolved3Scroll down to see the lists of event resources (including posters & invitations), social media posts and creative templates.
There is also an opportunity to order fresh daffodils to be delivered during the week of Daffodil Day. If you would like to order some bunches for a splash of colour in your school or home, please see attached order form. NB. This must be completed and payment made in the next few days as the orders are closing this week!
If you have any questions or would just like to throw some ideas around about how your school/centre can get involved, please do contact me on 021 1515 895.
I look forward to seeing our month brightened with dazzling hues of yellow!
Kind regards,
Jane Sharman
